OUR VISION

Our mission is to create chic and timeless spaces that are considerate of coastal lifestyles. Our work is custom tailored to meet the clients vision, we are comfortable facilitating a variety of looks. We frequently collaborate with architects, builders, and subcontractors throughout the design process to achieve our client's design goals.

The Design Studio

Our studio is conveniently located off State Road in Vineyard Haven and open year-round by appointment. The studio library houses a curated selection of materials with the Vineyard lifestyle in mind; we carry both readily available brands such as Serena & Lily, exclusive to-the-trade only lines, and relationships with local craftsman for custom pieces. We specialize in window treatments, with a collection of shades, blinds, shutters, draperies, roman shades, and technology for smart home shade automation. We offer custom workroom services including reupholstery, slipcovers, custom bench seats and cushions, as well as decorative pillows and bedding. The design studio library has an expansive selection of fabrics, wallpapers, light fixture finish samples, rugs, accessories and more. Harrop & Co. proudly serves clients both locally and nationwide. Additionally, we are happy to collaborate and facilitate projects with any off-island designers requested by the client. We look forward to hearing from you!

About Harrop & Co.

Kate grew up in the world of custom home building and developed her attention to detail and love for creating at an early age, spending her days amongst job sites and in the workshop with her father, an accomplished builder. A James Madison University Graduate, Kate spent three years in the world of fashion with Nordstrom and Akris Punto further developing her eye for smart and stylish design. She returned to Martha's Vineyard in 2015 where she found her home in the world of interiors. Kate is known for creating timeless spaces that layer texture and color while fusing the personality of her clients and character of the home. Kate lives in Oak Bluffs with her husband David, and Border Collies Annabelle and Bennett. Kate's lifestyle and passion for living life to the fullest has positioned her with a valuable understanding of her clients' needs for their Vineyard residences.
